Helium: Superball (1995)
Was totally going to rag on the unfortunate 90s styling of this video, but then checked to see who had posted it before — and of course pretty much everyone who has ever posted it mentions the clothes. How can one not? Terrible, just terrible. Such a good song though.
Deleted scene from Clueless or music video?* Hard to tell because of, oh, the vinyl dress Mary Timony is wearing. I know some of you kids wax nostalgic for the 1990s real hard, but seriously, I’m OK with leaving vinyl clothing, rave pants, dog collars, and oversize oversize white T-shirts behind. Could this band look any more uncomfortable in front of a camera?
* Could be a great game to play with 99% of 90s cultural artifacts.
Speaking of 90s fashion, somewhere in the storage room here at my parents’ house are two pairs of nearly 20-year-old Doc Martens. Guess I should go fish those out now that they are hip again.
