2NE1: I Am the Best (2011)
Yeah, I’ll get on this bandwagon.
OK so clearly I am way late to the party on this one (only finding out about it because it’s showing up on year-end best-of lists, which, UNDERSTANDABLE—pun not even intended) but this is so awesome I think it’s completely broken my brain. I’m going to have to watch it at least half a dozen more times before I catch up to all the reasons why it’s awesome. For now, though, these are my two favorite parts:
1) the way the entire song is in Korean except every now and then when one of them will say something like “hot hot hot hot fire” or “billion dollar baby”
2) the confluence of Misfits logos and wanton property destruction
Anyway, gonna go watch it again now.
